Florida is “a buzz” over the spread of the baby-disabling virus, and Senator Marco Rubio is simply “frustrated” about how the federal government has dragged its feet in addressing the problem.Rubio brought out his big fly swatter on the campaign trail, telling reporters in Fort Myers, Florida that he and his colleagues in the and that he is “prepared to go on a moments notice” if called back into session.
Rubio said that until the Congress can agree on what to do about Zika, President Obama “has access to over $300 million dollars” that has already been made available to him, adding that only after he penned a letter to Obama, did the president agree to spend ” another $80 million” to combat the virus.

In addition to pointing out that he pressed the president into spending more, Rubio reiterated that he has voted for five separate Zika-funding bills in the U.S. Senate and that more needed to be done, but he feels that “both parties have failed in this regard.”
