Over the past two weeks, Florida has been flooded with more than $2.5 million in spending from super PAC’s.
As reported by POLITICO, the PAC’s are spending an average of $178,000 a day.Overall, 14 super PAC’s are spending heavily in Florida’s U.S. Senate race and eight congressional races. The groups offer an opportunity for a small number of big money donors to have a large influence on the outcomes of competitive races.
Because the groups are able to start raising and spending money almost overnight, some have not yet to disclose donor information. Those disclosing information only show data through June 30.

Of the 12 super PAC’s that have reported, 48 donors have given $28 million. Overall, those donors have given an average of 84 percent of all contributions received by those committees. In some cases, one donor is funding the whole operation.
Even though campaigns cannot directly coordinate with super PAC’s it is common for a longtime friend of advisers of a candidate to leader a super PAC.
Here is a breakdown, by race, of super PAC spending in Florida over the past two weeks. Donor information is through June 3o.U.S. SENATE
