After five long years of running the Democratic National Committee, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is finally out as her party’s chairwoman.

Wasserman Schultz announced this weekend that she would resigning as chairwoman after Wikileaks published DNC emails in which she and other party committee staffers were caught red handed trying to sabotage the Bernie Sanders for President campaign.

Wasserman Schultz’s fall came in her response to an email sent to  her by a  DNC staffer, where the staffer told her that Bernie  Sanders would not drop out of the presidential primary race against Hillary Clinton:

Wasserman Schultz has also gone on record of calling Sanders’ Campaign Manager Jeff Weaver “scummy,” a “damn liar” and an “ass.”

But what quite possibly is the most damning of the leaked emails is the communication sent by DNC CFO Brad Marshall.

For KY and WVA can we get someone to ask his belief. Does he believe in God. He had skated on  saying he had a Jewish Heritage. I think I read he is an atheist. This could make several points difference… My Southern Baptists peeps would draw a big difference between a Jew and  an atheist.-DNC CFO Brad Marshall

Sanders echoed his concerns to all that would listen, saying that the DNC “was not running a fair operation” saying that what he “suggested to be true six months ago” actually “turned out to be true.”
