With all of the recent racially-influenced police shootings and killings that have occurred around the country, many Americans have come to the conclusion that the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement should be considered a terror organization.

It should be. Black Lives Matter is no different than ISIS, in my opinion.

On July 6, 2016, the same day a black gunman shot and killed five Dallas police officers, a White House online petition was created demanding that “Black Lives Matter” be labeled as a terror organization.

Here is how the petition reads:

Terrorism is defined as “the use of violence and intimidation in pursuit of political aims”. This definition is the same definition used to declare ISIS and other groups, as terrorist organizations. Black Lives Matter has earned this title due to its actions in Ferguson, Baltimore, and even at a Bernie Sanders rally, as well as all over the United States and Canada. It is time for the pentagon to be consistent in its actions – and just as they rightfully declared ISIS a terror group, they must declare Black Lives Matter a terror group – on the grounds of principle, integrity, morality, and safety.

In an official response to the petition, President Obama’s White House said that it “plays no role in designating domestic terror organizations,” adding that government “does not generate a list of domestic terror organizations.”

This is true. Not even the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) formulates a list of domestic terror groups. The FBI does however have a list of “White Hate Groups,” which includes the Klu Klux Klan.

So, if the government won’t label “Black Lives Matter” as a terror group, will the Obama administration go as far as to label them a black hate group?
