One of Donald Trump’s proposed campaign promises that has helped the real estate mogul all but win the Republican presidential nomination, is his push to construction of a wall along the U.S-Mexico border.
Not only has Trump said he will construct it, but will make Mexico pay for it.Even on of Trump’s 2016 presidential primary candidates, Marco Rubio, agrees that a wall or fence needs to be constructed. Rubio has never said that Mexico would have to pay for it, but does support Trump’s wall proposal. Watch here.
Mexico’s President Enrique Pena Nieto appeared on CNN with Fareed Zakaria to infatically stated that there is “no way” Mexico would pay for Trump’s wall.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
“There is no way to have Mexico pay the — a wall, but any decisions inside United States is a decision of its government…There is no way that Mexico can pay [for] a wall like that.”
Pena Nieto went on:
“And this is what we have built,” he continued. “And I’ll say it again, this is what we have been doing with the U.S. government. We have a relationship of coordination, of collaboration and of cooperation in the area of security, precisely in order to have security in Mexico, to have security in the U.S. and… we are journey companions. We are strategic partners working for security in North America.”
Of course Nieto had to comment about the controversial yet accurate remarks Trump made regarding about Mexicans and the role the Mexican government is playing to facilitate the ongoing crime that has been spilling over the border from his country.
Here is what Trump said:
“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
Here is how Pena Nieto responded:
Here is what how we broke it down on Hispolitica:“There’s no way to agree with comments like these which describe all Mexicans in such a way,” he said. “I believe that in every country, there are individuals who are criminals, that we need to fight and apply the full extent of the law.”
First of all, let’s dissect Mr. Trumps very words.
