On Thursday night five Dallas police officers lost their lives after a sniper said to be involved with the Black Lives Matter movement shot them.
The shooting marks the deadliest incident for U.S. law enforcement since September 11, 2001.The gunfire started as demonstrators marched against the shooting deaths of two African-America men by police in Louisiana and Minnesota.
A total of 11 officers were shot as reported by CNN and six officers injured required surgery.

Dallas PD Chief David Brown said it is unclear how many suspects were involved, but three are in custody.
The suspect who was in the parking garage shooting the officers is reported to be dead.
Brown said:The suspect told our negotiators that the end is coming.
He also told negotiators more officers were going to get hurt and there were bombs all over downtown Dallas.
There were no bombs found by police.
Brown also stated two of the shooters were snipers, who fired “ambush-style” from an “elevated position.”
Among the officers killed were one DART officer. DART is the Dallas Rapid Transit agency which operates buses and commuter rail in the city. The victim was the first DART officer to die in the line of duty.
