Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, is accusing Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields of provoking his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski.
This past Tuesday, Lewandowski was arrested and charged with battery, a misdemeanor, after Jupiter police used security video footage to authenticate Fields’ claim that Lewandowski forcefully grabbed her arm on March 8th as she tried to get Trump’s attention after a news conference. The charge comes after Fields alleged she was assaulted at Trump’s news conference after asking Trump a question.
“Trump acknowledged the question, but before he could answer I was jolted backwards. Someone had grabbed me tightly by the arm and yanked me down. I almost fell to the ground, but was able to maintain my balance. Nonetheless, I was shaken.” –Michelle Fields

On ABC’s “Good Morning America,” Trump was quoted:
“Frankly, this is not a claim that should have been made.”
“She had a pen in her hand, and you know, that could have been a knife, that could have been—even a pen, it’s dangerous. Secret Service doesn’t want people running up to me and grabbing me with a pen in her hand.”
“Should I file charges against her because she touched my arm as well?”
Could a counter-claim be coming in the near future?
