The Republican congressional primary race in Florida’s 18th congressional district continues to heat up as businessman Paul Spain has announced he is withdrawing from the race, and drew a large applause after he said he has endorsed combat veteran Brian Mast (pictured) .
Spain made the announcement at the March Palm Beach County Republican Executive Committee meeting, and added that he will instead run against Rep. Lois Frankel in the 21st congressional district.Mast joined Spain during that announced and said that he was honored to have Spain’s support and would do everything he could to help Spain defeat Frankel in the upcoming 2016 general election.
Attorney Rick Kozell and Dr. Freeman, who are also running against Mast, were also given the opportunity to address the group, where they hoped to garner support for their respective congressional campaigns.
