The mafia is alive and well and Ted Cruz thinks Donald Trump might be making deals with them.
In two interviews on Sunday, Cruz repeatedly pressed Trump to release his latest tax returns. He also said Trump might be holding back because of his “business dealings with the mob.” Cruz cited reports that Trump’s company has worked with “major New York crime families” including the jailed “Fat Tony” Salerno as reported by The Hill.While on NBC New’s “Meet The Press” Cruz said:
There have been multiple media reports about Donald’s business dealings with the mob, with the Mafia. Maybe his taxes show those business dealings are a lot more extensive than has been reported.

Trump has been under a lot of pressure from his GOP critics to release his tax returns. It all started when former GOP presidential nominee, Mitt Romney warned the documents could contain a “bombshell.”
Cruz also stated during an interview with ABC’s “This Week”:
The fact that he’s refusing to do so really suggests, as Mitt Romney pointed out, that there may be a bombshell in there, that there’s something he’s hiding.
