A newly updated anti-discrimination law in New York City states you could be fined $250,000 for misgendering a transexual.
As reported by Breitbart, New York City’s Commission on Human Rights updated a law on “Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Expression” by threatening financial penalties against property owners who “misgender” employees or tenants.If the incident is deemed to be “willful and malicious” property owners face up to $250,000 in fines.
The legislation makes it clear that if an individual desires, property owners will be forced to call them “zhe,” “hir” or any other preferred pronoun.
