A Secret Service agent who works in the Presidential Protective division reported to the Metropolitan Police Department the back rear window of his car was “unzipped” and a bag containing a black Sig Sauer handgun, an APX6000 radio, handcuffs, a USB flash drive, a black Patagonia bag and a Secret Service badge number 1266 had been stolen.
The items were taken from his personal vehicle that was parked on G Place in downtown Washington around 4 p.m.According to CNN, the Secret Service declined to comment about the matter but a law enforcement official noted that the stolen USB was encrypted and password protected. They felt the theft did not appear to be a threat to the agency.
It is still unknown what was contained on the flash drive.

Secret Service officials expressed their concern that such a crime could take place so close to the law enforcement agency’s headquarters in the middle of the afternoon.
