Florida Governor Rick Scott, who recently penned a letter to President Obama asking him to suspend his program bringing unvetted Syrian refugees in the country, is part of them majority of Governors who has pushed back against Obama’s move to continue streaming the refugees into their respective states.
In a letter written and sent by Secretary of State John Kerry, and Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson to Gov Scott, the Obama administration is stating that the current vetting process is “strong” and that the refugee screening process has been “significantly enhanced over the past years,” adding that has ” tremendous faith in this system’s ability to detect, investigate, and disrupt terrorist plotting in this country, as it has done repeatedly.Kerry’s letter assuring Scott not to be concerned over the invetting of Syrian refugees, even after Obama’s very own FBI has raised doubts about properly vetting these refugees.
Back in September of this year, representatives from the FBI, National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) expressed their concerns about the refugee crisis.
