Blowing through Florida these past couple of days like a hurricane, Presidential Candidate Donald Trump took shots at several of his GOP rivals, including Jeb Bush, Ben Carson and Marco Rubio. He even leveled some criticism at Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
Of Bush, Trump had this to say, “here’s a guy who wants to run our country, and he can’t even run his own campaign; he’s cutting back big time; he has no money and no votes and is meeting today with mommy and daddy”. Trump lambasted Sen Marco Rubio (R-FL), Bush and Carson as being controlled by their SuperPacs. Trump ridiculed Rubio, “Rubio is controlled by his PAC, and he needs a lot of water on top of everything else”. Trump even had some criticism for Ben Carson, calling him “low energy” and doubting his negotiating skills. Trump has also been perceived as taking away support from candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), as well as from Carson.Trump told the crowds he’d rather face Hillary Clinton in the general election rather than Bernie Sanders because of Clinton’s weak record. Mocking Sanders, Trump called him a “socialist-slash-communist who might be hard to beat because “he’s giving away everything”.

Trump appeared before thousands of cheering supporters in both Jacksonville and Miami, with the Jacksonville crowed chanting “Trump! Trump! Trump!”and “build the wall”. Boats were also seen floating down the St. John’s River with banners reading “Save your Rump, Vote for Trump”. Many believe Trump may be the only candidate with the fortitude to do the job that needs to be done. Barring some kind of complete candidate meltdown, it appears Trump is heading toward becoming the eventual GOP nominee for the Presidency.
Not everyone who attended this week’s Trump events were there as supporters. Some were there with “Dump the Trump” banners and several stated they did not consider Trump a serious candidate and were there just for the theatre. If Trump’s support would drop off, Sen. Cruz and Ben Carson could be there to pick up the Trump pieces. But Trump does appear to be a juggernaut of a candidate and could prove hard to beat in the primaries, and may end up being the eventual GOP nominee.
