After Planned Parenthood’s CEO Cecile Richards appeared in front of the House Oversight and Government Reform committed back in late September, Richards took to the airwaves, telling MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow that she believed some of the questions asked of her were “sexist.”
Of course she did.Richards, and Democrats were expected to pivot away from the real issue for why she was called to testify, and find someone, or something to blame for her being called to testify.
Now Democrats, namely Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is fundraising off Richard’s phony baloney sexist claim, that coincidentally fits right into the bogus “War on Women” campaign that Democrats have been waging against Republicans.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Remember that according to Democrats, all Republicans hate women.
Here is Wasserman Schultz’s fundraising letter stating that Richards was pelted with “sexist remarks” :
Friends,Maybe you’ve seen this episode of political theater. It’s the one where Republicans launch caustic attacks on Planned Parenthood and threaten to restrict women’s access to health care.
This episode isn’t a favorite of mine or, presumably, of the 7,000 women in South Florida and 2.7 million women in America who depend on Planned Parenthood’s vital services each year.
But unfortunately, the time-worn Republican tradition of marginalizing women’s health care happens with such regularity, that it’s practically in syndication.
If you’re tired of watching, add your signature and stand with Planned Parenthood.
In case you missed the Republicans’ latest attempt to vilify Planned Parenthood, it reached a new low when the organization’s President, Cecile Richards, testified in Congress. She was forced to endure a grueling, five-hour congressional hearing. She was interrupted 51 times — mostly by Republican members with sexist remarks and character attacks. No matter how many times Republicans desperately try to repurpose their “Planned Parenthood attack” rerun, the good this organization does is undeniable. It can’t be dismantled by a crudely edited, deceitful video.
Next time Republicans have an “episode,” remember that in 2013 alone, Planned Parenthood gave half a million women access to preventative breast exams, administered 4.5 million STI tests and treatments, and provided 3.5 million contraceptive services.
I urge you to stand with me in support of Cecile Richards, in support of the facts, and in support of Planned Parenthood.
Thank you,
Debbie
Oh brother. Notice how Wasserman Schultz “forgets” to mention that Planned Parenthood also conducts abortions.
