During the recent GOP congressional forum in Florida’s 18th congressional district, Attorney Rick Kozell jabbed at his fellow opponents, saying that many of them were carpet bagging after reading “a poll that says this is a good place to run,” further t questioning them on whether the feel they would best represent the congressional district, considering that they were not from there.
I’d be curious if any candidates would be willing to answer that question, who is not from here, do you think that’s in important part to this, and do you think that is something you can overcome and effectively represent us, if you were successful?Kozell’s question was to all the candidates, but was obviously directed at Brian Mast, who recently moved to Fort Pierce, and called out Kozell for putting out a survey of questions to his constituents asking them for their input on issues of concern.
Kozell, nor anyone in the room, expected to hear what came out of Mast’s mouth in response to Kozell’s carpet bagging question.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Watch the video.
Regarding the Kozell’s survey of questions Mast brought up, Kozell denied knowledge of the survey, but stated that Mast maybe referring to an email blast the his campaign might have sent out that asked constituents for their input on pressing issues, which is a common practice for novice candidates.Mast questioned Kozell’s conviction on the issues, as he believes Kozell was  asking for “guidance” on the issues from constituents.
Watch the exchange:
The survey exists, and as Kozell stated, it was sent out in an email blast, but he failed to disclose that it was also his campaign website’s landing page in September, and is still linked to the site, even though the link to the survey has been scrubbed from all of website’s current pages.I don’t for the life of me, know what Brian is talking about, except maybe if he is getting an email blast from me-Rick Kozell.
