While Donald Trump is still at the top of the field of 2016 GOP presidential candidates, Carly Fiorina has shot up from single-digits to second place behind “The Donald” with 15 % post-debate support in the latest CNN/ORC poll, leapfrogged Dr. Ben Carson, who garnered 14% of the support.
Trump dropped from 32% support to 24% after last week’s CNN debate.Fiorina easily won the debate, as she took on Trump over his recent remark about her appearance, and called Planned Parenthood on their aborted baby body parts procurement business.
Here is what I said on NewsmaxTV about Fiorina’s jab at Planned Parenthood:

She called out Planned Parenthood for what they have done, what they are doing to twenty-some-odd million Americans, something that CNN and other media outlets have been reluctant to talk about and report on.
But while Trump, Fiorina, and Carson lead the pack, Florida Senator Marco Rubio has managed to move up in the poll, leaving his friend and the Republican establishment’s presumptive presidential nominee, Jeb Bush, in the political dust.
Rubio jumped from a dismal 3% pre-debate poll, to 11% in the CNN poll. Jeb Bush sits at 9% followed by Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Mike Huckabee with 6%.Rubio is in good position to climb up. With the threat of radical Islam on everyone’s minds, and not going away anytime soon, his foreign policy and intelligence bona fides could make Rubio the go-to guy when it comes to national security issues.
Rubio downplays his bounce in poll
So with these poll numbers being what they are, who is the most popular among all of the candidates? No,” Rubio said. “These polls don’t really mean anything at this stage, George. You’re a veteran of campaigns, and I’m not sure the mid-September winners are where you want to be.”
“Obviously, you want to do well, and they’re relevant because they’re deciding who gets on the stage,” Rubio added. “But they’re not going to decide this election. And I’ve always said that.”-Marco Rubio in POLITICO
Dr. Ben Carson.
65% of GOP voters polled say they really like Carson, 57% like Rubio, and 54% view Fiorina in a positive light.
Rubio ranks second in the popularity contest, with 57% viewing him favorably and 16% unfavorably. He’s followed by Fiorina (54% favorable to 17% unfavorable), Huckabee (53% to 28% unfavorable), Cruz (52% to 22%) and Trump (52% to 40%).
Trump is still the man.
According to CNN, their poll shows that on the issues, Republicans believe that Trump is the best fit to deal with immigration reform, the Obama economy, and foreign policy.Trump also wins on immigration, with 47% saying he could best address the issue, ahead of second-place Rubio’s 15% and Bush’s 9%.
He even edges Rubio, 22% to 17%, on who could best handle foreign policy.
The NBC poll has Trump on top as well.
