U.S. Senate candidate and Rep. Ron DeSantis (R) has already called out Democratic Senate candidate and Rep. Patrick Murphy over his support of President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran.
Now Florida Lt. Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera (R), who is also running for the U.S. Senate in Florida, has joined the political dog pile on Murphy over his support of the nuke deal, saying ““He (Murphy) chose partisan politics over our national interests and the survival of our closest ally (Israel).”Murphy’s legislative office made his announcement via a press release, and Lopez-Cantera was quick to pounce on that move, saying that Murphy should face Floridians over this support of the deal, not just tell them about it with a press release.
“The people of Florida deserve more than a press release if he wants to serve in the U.S. Senate; they deserve to see him defend his decision here at home, not from inside the Beltway.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
“I’ve committed to monthly town halls if elected. Murphy should at least agree to one,” he said.-PB Post
Murphy’s Senate primary opponent, Rep. Alan Grayson, who has been highly critical of Murphy since even before entering the Senate race, has yet to state whether or not he supports the deal.
