As reported by the Associated Press, Florida’s Attorney General Pam Bondi was threatened. For six weeks out of this year she had around the clock protection because of it.

In a new report released by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), the state spent more than $216,000 on security for Bondi this year.

Officials from the FDLE would not give any other details except the threat was “credible.” The security provided for Bondi was from late May until early June.

In a statement, Bondi called it a “serious threat” and because of it she had many “sleepless nights.”
