Tuesday was not a good day for Hillary Clinton. It seems as if her scandals might be catching up with her finally.
The Intelligence Community Inspector General told Congress on Tuesday Clinton’s email server contained emails that were classified as “top secret.”All along Clinton has said there was no top secret documents on her personal server “to her knowledge.” That was a blatant lie. Clinton was a former elected official, a first lady and our Secretary of State, she knows what a classified document looks like.
She has also been dodging answering questions about her personal server ever since she entered the race and Democrats have been worried it has contributed to her dropping poll numbers.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
As reported by The Hill, Clinton’s spokesman Nick Merrill said Clinton:
pledged to cooperate with the government’s security inquiry.
She directed her team to give her email server that was used during her tenure as Secretary to the Department of Justice, as well as a thumb drive containing copies of her emails already provided to the State Department.
Even though Clinton already turned over the emails she felt were work-related, she deleted a similar amount that she felt were personal.
Richard Nixon also deleted several minutes of his recordings before handing them over. We all know how that went.
After Republicans found out she deleted some of her emails they were furious. House Benghazi Committee chairman Trey Gowdy (SC-R) called on Clinton to turn over her server but she has been ignoring his requests.
The chair of the Republican National Committee, Reince Priebus wasted no time on Tuesday slamming Clinton. In a statement he said if she would:
never have had a secret server in the first place (if she) really cares about transparency.
He continued to say:
If Hillary Clinton believed in honesty and transparency, she would have turned over her secret server months ago to an independent arbiter, not as a last resort and to the Obama Justice Department.
The majority of Americans do not trust her, and they’re right. She put our national security at risk for selfish reasons. She couldn’t be trusted at the State Department, she certainly can’t be trusted in the Oval Office.
