Just days after Senator Marco Rubio denounced billionaire and fellow 2016 Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump over his remarks about immigration and Mexico, Rubio appeared on the Fox News Business channel, where according to the liberal American Bridge tracking company, Rubio got tongue-tied and “caught flat-footed” when he was asked to “denounce Trump.”
Here is what Rubio said about Trump. Sounds to me like he denounced “The Donald.”Trump’s comments are not just offensive and inaccurate, but also divisive,” Rubio said. “Our next president needs to be someone who brings Americans together – not someone who continues to divide. Our broken immigration system is something that needs to be solved, and comments like this move us further from – not closer to – a solution. We need leaders who offer serious solutions to secure our border and fix our broken immigration system.”-Marco Rubio (Hispolitica)
Rubio is right in pointing out that the media is quick to jump down Trump’s throat over his remarks rather than open the discussion about the out of control illegal immigration problem along the southern border, the radical Islamist threat that exists, and the ongoing drug war that is spilling over into the U.S., as well as those “rapists” and “killers” that Trump mentioned are crossing over from Mexico.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Trump may have inadvertently teed this up for Rubio.
This is the perfect opportunity for Rubio put on his hawkish foreign policy hat on, and capitalize on this issue by laying out an illegal immigration solution that is based on protected residents from any and all threats to the sovereignty of the United States.
After all, the illegal immigration problem in the United States is first and foremost a national security issue.Like I said before, the radical Islamist named Ahmed or Mohammed, is not going to stand outside of your local grocery story or pasteleria and check “Green Cards” before he decides to blow the place up.
