At the beginning of every election cycle, liberal gay-rights and tree-hugging groups show up in force to try to paint all Republicans as being anti-gay, anti-tree, anti-bird, anti-earth, you name it, and they will fault Republicans, especially those politicians who venture to speak their minds on certain issues that these groups hold dear.
Senator Marco Rubio, who is running for president in 2016, is catching grief from the Florida gay-rights advocacy group, Save, for comments he made about same-sex marriage, and how he feels that Christianity faces a “real and present danger” because of gay marriage.According to the Miami Herald, the group sent out an email comparing Rubio to Anita Bryant, “the one-time singer and beauty pageant queen who became the most-high profile opponent to Miami-Dade County’s human-rights law in the late 1970s.”
“If Senator Rubio wants to be president in 2016, he should know that Floridians won’t support anti-LGBT attacks at the ballot box — just ask fellow equality opponent and Floridian celebrity Anita Bryant, whose effort to legalize anti-gay discrimination in Miami-Dade County was overturned by voters in 2002 with SAVE’s help.” –SAVE email
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Rubio has never said that same-sex marriage, or gay marriage, is a danger itself, and is on record of saying that marriage should be left up to the states.
Rubio himself has said that he didn’t have a problem attending a gay wedding, and also believes that homosexuals are born that way.
We can expect “Big Gay” to step up their push back against Rubio’s pro-Family, pro-Christian presidential candidacy in the months to come.
