Representative Carlos Curbelo (FL-R) is focusing on an issue most Republicans can’t stand: climate change. Curbelo has said he understands climate change is:
a major challenge and threat we all face, especially in South Florid. I have objectively taken a look at the information out there, and it’s evident the climate is changing. Certainly human beings are having an effect on the climate.
With that statement Curbelo identified two things. First, being that he agrees the climate is changing. I think we all can say it has changed in one way or anther. Second, he thinks human beings are effecting the climate. That is what Republicans despise. As a whole, a lot of Republicans do not believe humans are effecting the climate. Scientifically speaking the climate has been changing constantly since the earth was created. We did have the Ice Age, didn’t we? During that time was the Earth populated by a lot of humans? No. Scientists blame that on the dinosaurs though.
Curbelo thinks more people agree with him in the Republican party than they are likely to admit. I do not agree with that statement.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
What it comes down to is this: there is no conclusive evidence that shows humans are causing climate change. Actually there is more evidence supporting the fact the Earth’s climate is just doing what it has been doing for thousands of years: changing.
On Earth Day, Curbelo even accompanied President Obama on Air Force One to the Everglades where he gave a speech on climate change per the Miami New Times.
