Former Texas Governor Rick Perry (R) has been discounted many as a has-been presidential candidate, with no chance of winning his party’s nomination in 2016, simply because he had that little “oops!? moment at a debate during the 2012 Republican presidential primary race.
I say fubar.While the Rubio, Cruz, Paul, and Walker, are all out trying to make the case that new blood is needed in the White House, Perry has an impressive and proven economic track record as governor of Texas that he will be able to point at, if he decides to run for president again.
But while his detractors and GOP smarty pants are quick to say that Perry has blown his chances of ever becoming president, because they feel he is out of step with the youth of today, I feel that Perry could surprise many, considering that Perry has a newly-found hipster look about him, and social media prowess, that seems to be resonating with young people.

His appearance this year at the annual CPAC conference in Washington, D.C. maybe a sign that youngsters could in fact have a soft spot for this Texan.
While taking a stroll down CPAC’s radio row, dozens of young kids could be seen hovering around Perry, many of them wearing t-shirts that bore his name, and being referred to by Perry himself as being his “crew.”

Perry is said to be quite a musician, and is even rumored that to have played a set with the rock band ZZ Top, during a live concert show in Houston many moons ago.
I heard about this infamous video during an interview I conducted with Perry on his campaign bus in Iowa during the 2012 Republican presidential primary.While he played his air drums complete with some interesting facial expressions, Perry told me that he was going to get me the raw video footage of him jamming out with the band.
Hey Rick, Its been about three years now, and I still have yet to receive the video.

Are Americans willing to give an air-drumming Perry another chance, or are have the moved on, and are looking to elect someone more like Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz?
