A few hours after attending a rally in support for Jacksonville’s Republican mayoral candidate Lenny Curry, presidential hopeful Senator Marco Rubio traveled with his team and a long-time supported to the Florida Gateway College in Lake City, to address hundreds of north central Florida Republicans.
The event was put together by seven of the Republican Executive Committees from the surrounding counties area, which hoped to round up a few hundred attendees to the Rubio event.A few hundred people turned into a thousand mostly pro-Rubio supporters, who made the trip to quite possibly hear the next U.S. president share his vision for the future of the country.
Rubio’s address was his usual campaign stump speech, but that didn’t matter to the scores of people who travelled to see him speak, and who all-but mugged him after the event for an photo opportunity.
