Former Republican Congresswoman Sandy Adams has all but announced that she is running for Rep. Ron DeSantis’ soon-to-be open congressional seat, this as the popular member of Congress declared  that he would seek to replace Senator Marco Rubio in the U.S. Senate.

When I was advised that Congressman DeSantis was considering a run for U. S. Senate, I immediately reached out to (former) Congresswoman Sandy Adams because I believe she is uniquely qualified to best represent Congressional District 6.

Sandy previously served the Volusia County portion of CD6 with distinction as both a State Representative and as a member of the U. S. House of Representatives.

Adams reached out to the Shark Tank and reaffirmed that she was “strongly considering” a run for DeSantis’s congressional seat, saying that in the time she spent away from Congress, she was able meet Americans from all walks of life who expressed to her their concerns for the country.

Those interactions with everyday Americans, including the concern for her granddaughter’s future, are the reasons why Adams is looking at running for Congress again.

 DeSantis’ district stretches from Ponte Vedra Beach to New Smyrna Beach and goes as far west as Deland. Adams has represented some of the southern portions of a district, but her Orlando home is well outside of its boundaries.
