DeSantis, who is also a Naval Reserve Officer, and whose foreign policy bona fides are second to none, becomes the first Republican Senate candidate in the possible , has already received the ringing endorsement from grassroots heavyweight FreedomWorks PAC.

Here is what FreedomWorks PAC said about DeSantis candidacy for Senate:
DeSantis is expected to coral the support of conservative grassroots organizations like the Club for Growth, Citizen’s United, as well many other organizations and political action committees, including former Ambassador John Bolton’s PAC.“I’m proud that Congressman DeSantis is the first endorsement of the 2016 cycle by FreedomWorks PAC. Bolton has recently endorsed DeSantis’ congressional re-election race, and is expected to extend that support to the Senate campaign.

Other Republicans strongly considering a run for Rubio’s Senate seat are Rep. Jeff Miller (R) and Florida Lt. Governor Carlos Lopez-Canter, who just so happens to be a close friend to Rubio.
