President Obama seemingly spends a lot of time in Florida trying to push his agenda that cannot get through Congress. This time he is visiting the Everglades on Wednesday to promote his policies he states will combat climate change.
Republicans in Congress have blocked legislative action on climate change so President Obama has begun to issue executive orders and enacting new regulations on his own. He has taken steps to limit carbon emissions and greenhouse gases even though there is no concrete evidence they cause global warming. The climate has been changing ever since the Earth was created. In the past scientists have even went so far as to blame the Ice Age on dinosaur flatulence but didn’t “experts” at one time think the earth was flat as well?
On Wednesday Obama is going to highlight what he believes is the potential for a changing climate to create havoc on local economies. He said in his weekly address the Everglades are vulnerable to the economic aftermath of a changing planet.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
He said:
Obama’s senior adviser, Brian Deese explained in an email to supporters that even the smallest increase in water levels could wash out the Everglades.Rising sea levels are putting a national treasure — and an economic engine for South Florida tourism industry — at risk.
Deese said:
The Everglades are flat, and they border a rising ocean. As the sea levels rise, the shorelines erode, and that salty water travels inland, threatening the aquifers supplying fresh drinking water to Floridians. That doesn’t just destroy a beautiful and unique national landscape. It threatens an $82 billion state tourism economy, and drinking water for more than 7 million Americans — more than a third of Florida’s population.
Sounds like a scare tactic to support a hypothesis.
Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush said in New Hampshire on Friday “the climate is changing” but the solutions to the change are not clear. He also said “it’s legitimate to question” climate models but no one can “deny the fact that the climate is changing.”
I for one would like a little more clarification in regards to what Bush’s stance on global warming actually is.
