Today is the day we have been telling you about. At 6:00 pm Marco Rubio is going to make a big announcement. Many speculate he is going to announce he is running for President even though some developments over the weekend suggest that is not set in stone.
On Saturday the favorite to replace Marco Rubio in the US Senate, Jeff Atwater (R) announced he would not be running for Rubio’s seat. That was found to be odd since Atwater was already starting to get everything in place to announce as well. Does that mean Rubio has not decided to run? We shall see.If everything goes according to plan, the following is Rubio’s schedule for today: _______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Rubio’s aides have said 3,512 people requested tickets to go to the event at the Freedom Tower this evening. That far exceeded the maximum seating of 1,000 so they are holding a second event across the street that will house a Jumbotron showing the speech.
In addition to the ticket requests, Team Rubio has also fielded requests for over 190 media credentials for over 65 different news outlets per POLITICO.
If Marco Rubio announces he is running for President he will be the third Republican to throw their hat in the ring. Apparently Rubio is a betting man because he will also be putting his Senate seat on the line by running for the country’s top seat.
With Jeff Atwater now out of the Senate race it opens up the seat up to other Republican hopefuls. Other Republicans who have expressed interest in running are Lieutenant Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera, Congressman Ron DeSantis and Congressman Tom Rooney. All Republican hopefuls have stated they were waiting until Rubio officially announces to decide. As Marco Rubio is preparing to announce he is running for President today, let’s take a trip down memory lane. Below is how it all began:
