Self-styled “Congressman With Guts” Democrat Congressman Alan Grayson, who is contemplating a run for the U.S. Senate in 2016, is quick to ignore polling that shows him losing a head-to-head match-up against announced Senate candidate and fellow Democrat Congressman Patrick Murphy, as well the other potential Republican Senate candidates, including Florida CFO Jeff Atwater and Lt. Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera.
Instead, Grayson took to Twitter to promote a recent Democrat-leaning PPP poll which showed him losing to all potential GOP and Democrat candidates, expect for former Congressman Allen West, who is currently out of politics, and working in the private sector in Texas.
Progressive values win: Grayson leads Allen West by 3 points in hypothetical Senate race! http://t.co/tzFeXs2ffa

Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
According to the PPP poll, 38 % of Floridians say that Allen West is their first choice in a Republican Senate primary race.
So, of course Grayson is going to tweet that he bests (barely) Allen West in a possible 2016 Senate general election.
He may be the top choice of the Republican base, but West doesn’t fare quite as well in general election match ups as Bondi and Atwater do. Murphy leads West 41/39, and Grayson leads him 42/39. The weakest Republican though is Lopez-Cantera. He trails Grayson 40/36 and Murphy 41/34. A lot of that probably has to do with Lopez-Cantera being the least well known potential candidate in an already pretty anonymous field- only 28% of voters know enough about him to have formed an opinion.-PPP
We first floated the idea of a Allen West for Senate run in 2016 when word got out that Rubio may run for president.
The idea makes sense. Who else in the potential 2016 Republican Senate primary field can seemingly raise $20 bezillion dollars overnight, and has a huge nationwide fan base, not to mention the support of scores of military diehards?
Oh, and don’t forget the immense name recognition he enjoys for being one of Fox News’ go-to guys when it comes to military affairs and foreign policy.
But what does Allen West say about a possible run for the Senate in 2016?
“If that became an open seat, of course I would run. I have a good statewide appeal and a lot of people would like me to get back on Capitol Hill”-Allen West (Source)
Don’t count your chickens Grayson.
Meanwhile, Atwater crushes Grayson 42-32% in a new Quinnipiac Poll, and Lopez-Cantera edges him out 33-32%.
