Our Editor and Chief, Javier Manjarres was on NewsMaxTV’s America’s Forum on Thursday. He was joined by the host, former Representative J.D. Hayworth and democratic strategist, David Goodfriend.

The topics of discussion were the charges against Bowe Bergdahl and Senator Cruz contemplating about going on Obamacare.

First they talked about Jason Riley of the Wall Street Journal’s comments on Fox News. Riley said:

I do not know how Susan Rice still has a job in this Administration. I mean now that’s shes given the President bad advise or she is deliberately misleading the public whether it is on this issue or the Benghazi video but this deal smelled from the beginning.

When asked if the Obama adminstration and Obama himself made the right decision to free Bowe Bergdahl, David Goodfriend tried to talk his way around the comment.

Goodfriend said he does not believe in playing a Monday night quarterback but he did say he believes in Israel’s principles. Apparently Israel trades many more prisoners for one Israeli being held as ransom.

Manjarres said in response:

Israel is Israel and we are the United States of America and we do what we feel is best. Now what President Obama has shown for the last six years has been nothing much then detrimental. His actions have been detrimental to the sovereignty of the United States of America. It’s been proven.

Next they shifted their attention to presidential candidate Ted Cruz and the possibility he might enroll himself and his family for Obamacare.

Goodfriend said:

There is nothing wrong with that. The Senator also prior to Obamacare was part of the federal governments health insurance program.

As a note, Senator Cruz never received federal health care. He was covered by his wife, Heidi Cruz’s coverage thru her job.

Manjarres’s response to Goodfriend was:

[C]ruz is obeying the law. . . A law President Obama himself has violated by only wishing to implement certain parts of the law.

When asked if Senator Cruz is eligible to be President, Manjarres said:

Ted Cruz is fit to be President, qualified to be President.
