Jeb Bush had some strong words for President Obama’s foreign policy. As we all know President Obama has not necessarily been making friends in recently and most Republicans are against how he is handling our national security.
Bush is obviously not a fan. A month ago he gave a speech to the Chicago Global Forum where he argued the Obama administration’s foreign policy could be best summarized as “weak and uncertain.”He went on to say:
The administration indulges our enemies and attacks our friends.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
In recent weeks, Bush feels things have only gotten worse with Obama’s policy towards Iran and his blatant disregard and disrespect for Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
Bush said:
Consider American policy towards Iran, a nation that has waged for a relentless campaign of terror and war-by-proxy against U.S. troops and American allies for more than three decades. The administration believes Iran will become a responsible partner for peace once it signs up to a deal that largely leaves in place its nuclear infrastructure. In a region that is in a near-constant state of conflict — with Iran as a primary instigator — this approach is foolish.
He did not hold anything back when it came to the President’s dealings with ISIS as well:
When it comes to ISIS, Obama has threatened action but has delivered little support to those fighting against this menace. We are watching helplessly as Yemen — once considered by the Obama administration to be a reliable partner in the war against al-Qaeda and other terror networks — falls into anarchy.
A lot of Republican presidential hopefuls do not agree with the President’s foreign policy as well.
Presidential candidate Ted Cruz has said:
We are not going to be able to defeat radical Islamic terrorism with a president who is unwilling to utter those words, radical Islamic terrorism.
He has also said the president and his administration “will not acknowledge that there are theocratic radicals who have declared war.”
