Representative Darrell Issa (CA-R) was on CNN’S State of the Union Sunday night where he suggested Hillary Clinton could face criminal charges if she knowingly withholds any of her emails from congressional investigators.
He said that even though she voluntarily cooperated it does not mean she gave all of the requested emails.Issa said:
A subpoena, which Trey Gowdy issued is so that in fact it will be a crime if she knowingly withholds any documents pursuant to subpoena.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
There has been three subpoenas related to the 2012 Benghazi attack in total so far.
Last week Hillary Clinton said she would have the State Department release 55,000 pages of her emails. So far, they have turned over 900 pages to the committee. It is speculated the slow turn around is because they are hand selecting what emails to give them and what emails not to provide.
Issa further stated, Clinton:wasn’t forthcoming two and a half years ago. She, in fact, hid the very existence of this until she was caught.
Democrats on the other hand are on damage control because they were caught off guard by her personal email account. Representative Adam Schiff (CA-D) said:
What is the law at the time? The law at the time was that she could use her personal email as long as she preserved it, she clearly did preserve her emails. . . She followed the law in place at the time and I think that’s, I think, the relevant point.
