In a northeast Florida high school, students are going about their day as usual except for one thing: they are no longer allowed to say “God bless America” while delivering the morning announcements.
Two atheist students at Yulee High in Nassau County complained. They also went as so far as to take their complaints to the American Humanist Association and the groups lawyers which in turn threatened the school with a lawsuit.
The school responded to the threat by saying students are allowed to freely express themselves all day long but not during school announcements.
Children are usually raised this way. They do not decide one day to hate God or not believe in him so I am going to equally pin this on their parents since they are minors.
