U.S. Senator, Rick Santorum (PA-R) has been setting up his ground game to become the Republican presidential candidate for over a year. He has been able to do this as the Chairman of Patriot Voices. Today he raised the bar a notch by announcing the launch of a partnership with Salem Radio Network. He wants to use the new outlet to fight against President Obama’s push to grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants currently in this country.
Senator Santorum said:
President Obama’s intention to use an Executive Order to grant amnesty goes completely against the way the American people voted in this month’s historic election. This unilateral action sends a message that the President believes his opinion should supersede the will of the American people and democratic process. While we all agree our immigration system needs to change, granting amnesty with the stroke of the President’s pen is not the answer.
As a conservative voice, Senator Santorum can counter other staunch conservatives voices and potential presidential candidates such as Senator Marco Rubio, Governor Mike Huckabee and Governor Rick Perry.
