For the first time I and Shark Tank can recall Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz apologized. Yes, you read that right. She apologized for remarks she made about Governor Scott Walker earlier on in the week.
I shouldn’t have used the words I used… that shouldn’t detract from the broader point that I was making that Scott Walker’s policies have been bad for Wisconsin women.
As a recap, what she said that was so offensive about Governor Scott Walker was that he was giving the women the back of his hand and Tea Party extremists like Walker were grabbing women by the hair and pulling them back. (Read our previous article here)
There is another ironic twist to this story, the Congressional candidate she was promoting, Roxanne Lara, is an attorney whose practice defends husbands in family and divorce law. According to Secrets she defended a man who allegedly abused his wife and another who also beat his wife and forced her on drugs she was allergic to. Talk about being hypocritical.
