Some on the ‘Left’ may call President Obama’s disclosure of a secret special ops mission into Syria to free American journalist James Foley as being courageous, but that move by the President was nothing more than a blatant disregard for national security.
With Obama and Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel defending their decision to divulge the fact that a secret attempt by the U.S. military to rescue Foley even occurred, speaks to the amateurish and reckless Obama foreign policy that continuous to project weakness to our enemies around the world. So, what was the rationale behind telling the world of the covert mission?
Hagel said that the media already knew about it the mission, so he and the Pentagon went along with Obama about addressing the action.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Huh?
Republicans, including Chairman of the Houser Armed Services Committee Rep Buck McKeon (R-CA), railed against Obama’s asinine decision“There were a number of news outlets that were aware of the action, of the raid,” he said Thursday. “It was a decision made by the administration, which we concurred with, to address the mission.”-FOX News
“Successful or not, such operations are incredibly sensitive, even after they have concluded. Disclosure of these missions puts our troops at risk, reduces the likelihood that future missions will succeed, and risks the lives of hostages and informants alike,” he said in a statement. “While I believe it was unwise for the White House and Department of Defense to formally acknowledge this operation; it is outrageous that someone would be so selfish and short sighted to leak it to the media.”
Obama + Hagel = Idiots
