Former Obama Labor Secretary Hilda Solis is accused of soliciting donations for the president’s reelection campaign on the job, according to audio recordings released by the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday. Such an act would violate the Federal “Hatch Act” which prohibits government employees from campaigning during their Federal work hours or on Federal property.
House Oversight Committee Chairman spoke with FOX News’ Megyn Kelly about the situation last night.
According to the Washington Free Beacon, Solis is just the latest federal employee to become embroiled in Hatch Act violations. Last week the IRS suspended a worker for exhorting callers to vote for Obama in 2012.
