There really is no upside to the release of U.S. Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, whose supposed freedom was preserved after President Barack Hussein Obama broke U.S. Foreign policy, and negotiated his release with Islamist Taliban terrorists.
Obama approved the deal to trade Bergdahl for five specific Taliban terrorist leaders living at Club Gitmo (Guantanamo Bay). Why these five specific terrorists, and not another five random detainees?
Since his “capture” five years ago, there has been speculation that Bergdahl willfully deserted his post and joined the Taliban.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Here is what Rolling Stone magazine reported:
Rolling Stone magazine quoted emails Bergdahl is said to have sent to his parents that suggest he was disillusioned with America’s mission in Afghanistan, had lost faith in the U.S. Army’s mission there and was considering desertion.Bergdahl told his parents he was “ashamed to even be American.” Bergdahl, who mailed home boxes containing his uniform and books, also wrote: “The future is too good to waste on lies. And life is way too short to care for the damnation of others, as well as to spend it helping fools with their ideas that are wrong.”-CBS
Now there is the questionable tweet that Bergdahl’s dad Robert tweeted, and then deleted. Twitchy grabbed the tweet before it was deleted.
This release of this supposed American prisoner of war really stinks of a cover up, and needs to be looked into by the Congress.
Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R) released a statement about the Bergdahl-terrorist swap, saying that the “unspecified conditions” of Bergdahl’s release could endanger Americans worldwide.“The release of five senior Taliban commanders to Qatar under unspecified conditions is very troubling and may endanger American lives. In the coming days the Congress must examine the circumstances under which Sergeant Bergdhal’s release was achieved, and what conditions, if any, the Administration secured to ensure these enemy combatants do not return to the battlefield.
“I fear that the Administration’s decision to negotiate with the Taliban for Sergeant Bergdahl’s release could encourage future terrorist kidnappings of Americans. I fear also that the Administration is endangering U.S. and coalition forces by releasing some of the most dangerous detainees captured in the War on Terrorism.
As Americans, we never forget our brave men and women who are captured or missing in action. We also must ensure we are not further undermining U.S. national security by releasing motivated terrorists back to the battlefield.” –Senator Marco Rubio
While Rubio won’t come out and say it, I will.
Obama just showed us how weak his foreign policy really is, as he bowed down to, and appeased Islamic terrorists that will now feel emboldened to continue to carry out more of these eye-for-an-eye prisoner swaps. Now that Obama has once again telegraphed to terrorists around the world that he is willing to negotiate with them, expect more Americans to fall prey to kidnappings.
