Back in the 2010 U.S. Senate race between former Republican-turned-Independent-turned-Democrat, Charlie Crist and Senator Marco Rubio, Crist once told reporters in Miami, Florida, just how important it was to tell the truth, and gain the trust of the voter.
This is about trust we are asking people for our vote, by doing that we are asking them to trust us.”-Charlie CristA reporter asked Crist if he believed Marco Rubio was untrustworthy, prompting Crist to dodge answering the question directly, only saying that he would “let the people decide.”
After answering a question about Roe vs. Wade, and repeating his pro-Life, commonsense conservative rhetoric, Crist appears tocircled-back around to the initial question of trust and sy, that “what people want” is “someone who will just tell them the truth.”

As Crist finished his perceived slight against Rubio, 2014 state House candidate and Charlie Crist supporter Richard DeNapoli can be seen seemingly nodding in approval of Crist’s apparent remark against Rubio.
This reaction to the slam against Rubio is not a surprise to those who followed that campaign closely, as DeNapoli openly voiced his opposition to Rubio’s candidacy in 2009 and 2010 on numerous occasions. On two of his Broward County speaking engagements, DeNapoli rudely heckled Rubio , questioning his candidacy, and even supported Crist after he became an Independent.
Nowadays, when asked about his thoughts of Richard DeNapoli, Rubio will simply shake his head and chuckle at the question.
Richard DeNapoli is running for the state House against Rubio friend and supporter, Dr. Julio Gonzalez.
