Is the Republican Party’s Hispanic “outreach” the wrong approach to garnering the coveted voting bloc’s vote in the coming elections?
Republican congressional candidate Jorge Bonilla, who is running against Democrat Alan Grayson, believes that the GOP needs to include Hispanics into the political fold, not just try to reach out to them.Bonilla told NewsmaxTV host J.D. Alexander that the Republican Party is the “party of inclusion.”
The Republican party needs to move towards being a party of inclusion, instead of focusing on outreach. Outreach is what we do when something is far away from us, but Hispanics, like other Americans, live in our communities, their kids go to school with our kids, and we have to make an effort to connect with our policies, to show people that we care.-Jorge Bonilla

Jeb Bush
While he understands were Jeb Bush “is coming from,” Bonilla says that immigration is not a matter of empathy for illegal aliens, but a matter of national security.
“To some extent we all have sympathy for people who come here from… and search for better opportunities for themselves or for their families,” Bonilla said. “But at the same time we understand that immigration is not just a matter of empathy it’s a matter of national security and that’s where our concern comes from.“From the fact that we have a border area that we need to make sure is protected. From the fact that we need to make sure that al-Qaida or Hezbollah or some of these other bad actors that work along the border no longer work there anymore. We have a visa system that needs reform and these things are separate from the matter of empathy.”-Newsmax
Marco Rubio
Bonilla did not support Senator Marco Rubio’s Senate immigration reform bill, but says that he has supported his friend and former boss throughout his career in the Senate, regardless of his position on immigration reform
Bonilla, who has been recently added to Allen West’s “One’s to Watch” list of congressional candidates, and has just put out this video clip talking about immigration reform, Bush, and Rubio.I’m not about to throw away a 97% Senator over one issue-Jorge Bonilla
