Republican congressional candidate Paige Kreegel is calling his Republican opponents, namely Curt Clawson, who has a lot of personal loot, to designate all of their assets into a blind trust, if they are elected to the U. S. Congress.
Kreegel says he will do it, and believes that “financial transparency is the key to earning back the trust that Congress has lost.”He makes a point, but that lost trust that he speaks of, would probably be won back quicker if the Congress would stop passing disastrous laws like Obamacare and Dodd-Frank.
“Too many in Washington use non-public information to increase their own personal wealth,” Kreegel explained. “I hereby pledge, if elected, to place my investments in a blind-trust for the duration of my congressional term. I’m calling on my opponents to make the same pledge.”

Meanwhile, Kreegel, Clawson and Dreikorn will be at the League of Women Voters forum, while Lizbeth Benacquisto will be making a rare non-weekend public appearance at a fundraiser Sarah Palin will be hosting for her.
But the event, which has been dubbed a backyard barbecue by the campaign, falls on the same night as a meet-and-greet on Sanibel Island, an invitation Benacquisto previously declined.Richard Calkins, the voter services representative at the League of Women Voters of Sanibel, said Benacquisto’s camp notified him about two weeks ago she wouldn’t be able to attend the meet-and-greet. Calkins said the campaign said “they appreciated the invitation, but Lizbeth Benacquisto would be working in Tallahassee at the time.”
Calkins said he found out Tuesday that Benacquisto would be back in the district for a fundraiser, but the organization isn’t “judgmental about it.”“She has to decide where she wants to be. We’re not going to be upset by the fact that somehow she changed her plans,” he said.
Calkins might not be miffed, but Benacquisto’s Republican opponents said this is just the latest in a series of Benacquisto no-shows.-Naples Daily News
Benacquisto’s dodging of forums appears to be taking a toll on her campaign, as more and more voters in this congressional district are now turning to the other candidates in the race, who are showing up to forums and other public events to listen to and address their concerns and questions.
