Former Broward Country GOP Chairman Richard “Dick” DeNapoli isn’t as popular in his old (or real county of residence) as he would like you to believe he is.
While the Charlie Crist Republican DeNapoli has only been able to raise a nominal amount of campaign contributions from his base of support in Broward and Palm Beach Counties, a group of current and former Broward County Executive Committee members have put together a fundraiser in support of DeNapoli’s Republican opponent in this Augusts’ Republican primary election, Doctor Julio Gonzalez. As we reported before, DeNapoli is self-funding his campaign, injecting $150,000 to try to show people he is serious about winning, but in reality, DeNapoli doesn’t seem capable of raising money, and had to put up his own money to make his campaign look viable.
Expected and confirmed to be in attendance of this fundraiser for Julio Gonzalez is the who’s who of legitimate past and present Broward Republican politics.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Back in 2010, DeNapoli insisted that an Independent Charlie Crist would still beat Marco Rubio in that Senatorial race, leaving a bad taste in the mouths of the past GOP chairmen he share his thoughts with, not to mention the countless Republicans that DeNapoli demeaned and chided before he was forced to resign as chairman of the local GOP.
Oh, let’s not forget that DeNapoli did say that former Congressman Allen West could not his congressional race in 2010 because he was black.
