Senator Jack Latvala’s questionable and self-serving political and business dealings have always been part of the conversation throughout Florida politics.
But are his and his son’s dealing with two of Democrat Charlie Crist’s closest allies ‘kosher’ with the Republican Party of Florida, as well as the thousands of registered Florida Republicans hoping that Governor Rick Scott wins re-election by Crist?Michelle Todd, who is undoubtedly one of Crist’s closest friends, past campaign advisors, and most likely on his current gubernatorial staff, received (5) $1000 payments for “consulting” from Senator Jack Latvala. These payments began on January 23, 2012, a full week after she was married, and can be be found in the Florida Supervisor of Elections website under Latvala’s campaign expenditures.
Todd, for whatever reason, has chosen not to take her husband’s last name.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
So, just who is Michelle Todd’s husband? Todd’s husband is none other than liberal crybaby blogger Peter Schorsch, proprietor of the SaintPravdablog. Oops! I mean Saintpetersblog.
Schorsch’s ties to the embattled lobbying firm Southern Strategies, criminal history, and his website pay-for-play shadiness is well-documented, as well as his consistent attacks on Rick Scott and past attacks on Senator Marco Rubio and former Congressman Allen West.
*Note-Schorsch has conveniently scrubbed any anti-Rubio post from his website.
My wife, Michelle Todd, a longtime senior adviser to Crist….I need my wife to feel comfortable talking aloud on a conference call. I need those my wife is talking to on a conference call to not worry that what they say will end up on SaintPetersBlog. I need those working on the Crist campaign, such as Kevin Cate, Steve Schale, and Franco Ripple, to not have to worry about appeasing me by sharing smaller news items in order to keep me from discussing larger, more strategic issues. I need my friend, Charlie Crist, to know that if he tells me something, it won’t automatically end up on this blog.- Big Boy’s website
Todd and Schorsch are outspoken supporters of Crist, and “big boy” will let you know about on his website every chance he gets.(Letter to Petr)
So, because Latvala, who is rumored to funnel money to Schorsch through several third parties, paid Todd for “consulting” after she was married, it is more than fair to say that he lined Schorsch’s pocket with the $5000.
Remember, this is the same Latvala who is said to be close to Scott chief of staff, Adam Hollingsworth, and supported Crist over Rubio in the 2010 U.S. Senate race, before the “tanned-man” decided to run as an Independent.
Latvala is said to loathe Crist for becoming a Democrat, yet still thinks its ‘ok’ to support Crist’s loyal campaign supporters and staffers, a move that could be perceived as indirectly supporting Crist’s gubernatorial candidacy.
And then there is Latvala’s ‘mini-me,” his son Christopher Latvala, who is running for the state house. Junior, is proud to say that he is friends with ‘big boy,’ and has even directly paid him from his campaign account. Junior has paid one of Schorsch’s companies, Extensive Enterprises, $1923 for advertising, web services and developing the campaign website.
This is the same Latvala who is out to purge conservatives from the Republican Party.
Oh wait, did I fail to mention that big boy also writes on the uber-liberal Daily Kos?Big boy, via the Daily Kos, expressed his displeasure with the Florida GOP for their reaction to Crist’s gubernatorial announcement, as well as the media’s lack of coverage.
Big boy seemed a bit bothered that the event did not receive the media coverage he expected, considering that according to him, his wife Michelle “played a key role in organizing” the event.
Lame. That’s the word I would use to describe the Florida GOP’s response to Crist’s announcement. Like ‘Transformers 2’ lame. In fact, the Florida GOP’s response was EXACTLY like watching a ‘Transformers’ movie: there was a lot of money for special effects, but the whole production was ruined by a ridiculous plot.-Schorsch for Daily Kos
So the big question Republicans should be asking themselves is, will Republicans like Jack Latvala, Junior Latvala, Will Weatherford, and others, continue to indirectly financially support Crist via liberal blogger Petr Schorsch’s SaintPravdablog?
Paging Rick Scott, Will Weatherford, Lenny Curry and the Republican Party of Florida.
