Officials are confirming that (10) have been shot and killed at the U.S. Navy yard in Washington, D.C., eight being civilians, one being Navy police, and another being from an unidentified police agency, probably D.C. police.
Department of Defense official is saying that there are several fatalities, and that the suspect,a six foot tall, bald black man is injured and barricaded in the complex. Officials have temporarily suspended flights out of Washington’s Reagan Airport.
The White House has stated that the President is communication with first-responding authorities, and as expected in situations like this, security around the President has been tightened.
