After scoring a few badly needed political points with grassroots activists at this past weekend’s Americans For Prosperity “Defending the American Dream” summit in Orlando, Florida, Senator Marco Rubio, aka Tecnico (Coach) Rubio once again decided to live his football dreams vicariously threw his young son’s budding amateur football career.
Junior, better known in the South Miami Pee Wee football community as #24 Dominick “The Dominator” Rubio, rushed for a goal line touchdown, ala former Chicago Defensive Lineman William “The Refrigerator” Perry in the 1985 Super bowl victory over the New England Patriots.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Though Rubio’s ‘mini-me” isn’t anywhere near the size of “The Fridge,” he did manage to get a couple of good licks in as he crossed the goal line. It goes without saying that papa Rubio was elated to see “The Dominator” score for his team, which, according to some sources in the bleachers, prompted Rubio to start passing around cigars to friends and family.
This small victory for Rubio could be short-lived, as talk around the Pee Wee league watercooler has Dominick Rubio defecting away from his father’s beloved Miami Dolphins, and possibly looking to jump on board the J-E-T-S, JETS! JETS! JETS! bandwagon. Stay tuned for this developing story.
