Democrat Congresswoman Frederica Wilson is best known for wearing her outlandish cowboy hats both inside and outside the halls of Congress. Serving in her heavily Democratic congressional district affords Wilson great liberty to make some of the most truly outrageous comments without ever being held accountable, as she did during the Trayvon Martin case. Wilson is also known for delivering some pretty rambling screeds from the floor of the House of Representatives, and as you’re about to see, we’ve found one which contains some ludicrous remarks and assertions that might have otherwise disappeared down the rabbit hole.
In her two minute speech given last August, Wilson unleashed a litany of complaints while childishly promulgating the phony “War on Women” meme as she berated Republicans for allegedly attempting to “regulate” her reproductive organs-
Mr. Speaker, Obama cares, and you should too. Obamacare provides access to much needed contraceptives for women. First of all, it’s my body not yours, I alone bare the burden, pain and joy that it brings. Please stop trying to regulate my reproductive organs, they belong to me. Have you ever had a menstrual period, have you ever felt unbearable pain in every bone of your body during child birth? Will you be there for a mother when she needs prenatal care, formula, diapers?

Wilson then inexplicably claimed that those same grandmas who are raising “millions of grandchildren” also “doesn’t have a car, so she has no ID, so she can’t vote,” she presumably means that all of these grandmothers who happen to be raising all those grandchildren and are getting some form of government assistance also don’t have any identification, therefore making them all victims of so called “voter suppression.”
There’s only so much sunlight in the day in which to rebut such profound foolishness. However, there is one other interesting thing that’s noteworthy about her speech- if you take Wilson’s words at face value, she unknowingly contradicts Democrat-party approved talking points about abortion. Wilson wrapped up her rant by telling Republicans that “for some reason you care about “a baby” right until the minute it is born, and then you disappear and desert the children you claim to protect and love.” Little does Wilson realize that it’s a no-no among pro-choicers to refer to any among the unborn as a “baby” rather than a “fetus” or a “clump of tissue.”It’s two minutes of epic stupidity from the floor of the House- don’t deprive yourself the pleasure.
