PresidentObama met on Tuesday with Mexico’s President-elect Enrique Pena Nieto yesterday, and Nieto’s party, The Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), is a member of the Socialist International- a group of political parties that want to establish democratic socialism around the world. The ramifications of President Barack Obama’s self-described ‘mandate’ victory three weeks ago are becoming more clearer by the day, and they’re not good, folks.Pena has previously stated that he is looking to focus on Mexico’s economic development but is only looking to “do what he can” to curb the ongoing drug war that has ravaged his country.
Outgoing President Calderon was prosecuting a somewhat more aggressive war against the drug cartels, but his efforts did not significantly impact the cartels or the violence they’ve been responsible for.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
During their meeting at the White House, Nieto indicated that he “backed President Barack Obama’s planned push for U.S. immigration reform” and “pledged cooperation on border security and promised efforts to reduce violence in his own country,” according to Reuters-
Pena Nieto made clear that Mexicans were closely following Obama’s plan to tackle a major U.S. domestic issue – fixing America’s immigration system. The porous, nearly 2,000-mile (3,200-km) U.S.-Mexican border is the No. 1 crossing point for illegal immigrants entering the United States.
Emboldened by strong support from Hispanic voters in the November 6 U.S. election, Obama said just days later that he planned to move quickly in his second term to address an immigration overhaul, an achievement that eluded him in his first term.“We fully support your proposals,” Pena Nieto told reporters as he began an Oval Office meeting with Obama. “We want to contribute; we really want to participate …. In the betterment and the well-being of so many millions of people who live in your country.”
Obama spoke of what he called a “very ambitious reform agenda” put forth by Pena Nieto, who takes power at a time when Mexico is bucking an international economic downturn but is coping with widespread drug gang violence.
“In terms of security, that’s another major challenge that we all face. My government is set out to reduce the violence situation in our country,” Pena Nieto said through a translator. “I will do everything we can for this.”-Reuters
In layman’s terms, President Obama will forge ahead with a heavy-handed unilateral amnesty measure for illegal aliens that bypasses Congress and will have the full support of Mexico’s socialist government in doing so. Mexico’s economy benefits from the tax-free U.S. dollars being sent back from illegal aliens who are working here in the United States.
What else could Nieto do to qualm the raging drug war in Mexico? He’s made it very clear when he told President Obama that Mexico “fully support your proposals”-those proposals would be the amnesty laden immigration directives that Obama and his administration have had in place.U.S. Senator Marco Rubio recently penned an op-ed which sounded hopeful for a better U.S.-Mexico relationship but refrained from criticizing the past failures of the Mexican and U.S. governments, including the failed Fast and Furious program with has fueled the murder rate in Mexico.
The United States and Mexico have much to gain from a close, productive relationship. Obviously, issues related to immigration and cooperation in fighting drug trafficking will remain important. We should coordinate closely with the new president on his approach to combating the traffickers, ensuring that our interests are preserved while simultaneously helping Mexico achieve its goal of reducing the violence that has plagued the country and at times struck fear in U.S. border communities. –Senator Marco Rubio (McClatchy News)
Republicans could be facing a political end-game if they cave to the Democrat Party’s call for amnesty. Rush Limbaugh said it best- “Why are Democrats so eager to have Republicans agree to amnesty? Do you think Democrats want to share their voters with Republicans?”
It’s no secret that Democrats want amnesty for illegals who will then be eligible to receive government entitlements and vote Democrat. That’s their end game, and just as California has irretrievably gone into the Democrat fold, so will several other states if amnesty is realized.
