South Florida politcos of all stripes stood in solidarity for the state of Israel at the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center in Miami on Sunday. Senator Marco Rubio, Congresswomen Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Frederica Wilson
, Congressman-elect Joe Garcia, as well as other state and local elected officials all attended the “Israel Solidarity Rally’ to express their unequivocal support for Israel’s right to defend herself against recent spate of attacks it has endured over the past several weeks.
There are countries in that region of the world where little girls are not allowed to go to school, where other faiths are not respected, you look to Israel and the extraordinary advances that it has made in human rights, and the example that it is to the world. There is another personal reason why I have come to love Israel so much, and that’s the respect that it has for all faiths. Jerusalem is the site where all three major religions of the world have holy places. I cannot imagine another government on the planet that will be more respectful of all these faiths, and allow people to have access to all of these sites. Believe me, there are countries in that part of the world, for as a Christian for example, will not allow Christian churches to be built. Where converting to Christianity is punishable by death. The idea that somehow governments with people that think like that will one day be able to govern over any portion of the Jewish capital of Jerusalem is unthinkable, unacceptable, and it must never happen. – Senator Marco Rubio
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Rubio went on to outline how Israel has stood by the U.S. time and again when its own foreign policy was questioned and was opposed at international forums for “standing up for human rights and the dignity of all people.”
Because Israel has stood with us, America must stand with Israel. – Senator Marco Rubio

Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz also addressed the 1000+ attendees to the rally, asking that more Jews get involved in bringing awareness to the Israeli cause and how parents need to make it a point to send their children to Israel to experience and embrace the culture like she and many others have.
