A Public Opinion Strategies poll shows Congressman West beating his Democrat opponent Patrick Murphy by 11 points. The poll sampled consisted of 40% Republicans, 38% Democrats, and the rest non-party affilated (NPA) with the margin of error being 4.9%. In the same poll, Romney is beating Obama 47%-41%.
Interestingly enough, Murphy’s favorability rating is at 34%,while his unfavorables are at 33%. If West’s numbers stay true, expect the Democrat establishment to turn their backs on Murphy, who they may already think is, as West would say, an “empty suit.”
