Congressman and Chairman of the House Veterans Affairs Committee Jeff Miller, came down to South Florida to join his friend Congressman Allen West for several veterans events, including a jobs fair held in downtown West Palm Beach.
Miller discussed the troubling reality that eighteen veterans commit suicide everyday and that the existing staffing problem within the Veterans Affairs hospital network needs to be addressed in order to accommodate all of the existing mental health cases that need immediate assistance.
The congressman also said that the staffing problem is being overseen by a special subcommittee that is also looking into another growing issue within hospitals- the sterilization of hospital tools and supplies.

Miller stated that he is afraid that the Obamacare law will “ultimately diminish the healthcare system within the Department of Veterans Affairs” and could ultimately dismantle the system.
